Focus and Scope

Profesi Pendidikan Dasar (PPD) is an open-accessed and peer-reviewed scholarly journal published by the Department of Elementary Teacher Education of Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta, in collaboration with Himpunan Dosen PGSD Indonesia (HDPGSDI). PPD focuses on elementary/primary education from an excellent perspective. PPD aims to be a media of communication, information, and discussion of elementary education such as instruction, curriculum, management, guidance and counseling, psychology, and teacher training

This journal publishes original research articles, review articles, brief reports and short communications on the on the following subject areas: 

1. instruction of primary education (natural science, social science, mathematics, languages, civics, religion, physical education, and arts),
2. curriculum of primary education,
3. management of primary education,
4. guidance and counseling of primary education,
5. psychology of primary education as well as primary school teacher education.
