Asian Journal of Islamic Psychology is a peer-reviewed journal dedicated to publishing the scholarly study of the Islamic psychology. This journal is managed by the Pusat Studi Psikologi Islam (PSPI) Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta. The articles are written in English and published bi-annually (January and August).
Islamic psychology is an important issue developed in psychology discourse. It is a widely-known topic discussed in recent developments in psychology study. Islamic psychology is a discipline of thought about psychology according to the Quran and Sunnah, conducted with a scientific approach. As a growing science, basically, Islamic psychology is projected as the reference in understanding the human psyche (soul) and responding to the debates on it. When a study of psychology is conducted and applied according to the Islamic perspective, this can emphasize the qualities of people.
