About the Journal
Asian Journal of Islamic Psychology is a peer-reviewed journal dedicated to publishing the scholarly study of the Islamic psychology. This journal is managed by the Center for Islamic Psychology Studies (Pusat Studi Psikologi Islam / PSPI) Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta. The articles are written in English and published bi-annually (January and August).
Islamic psychology is an important issue developed in psychology discourse. It is a widely-known topic discussed in recent developments in psychology study. Islamic psychology is a discipline of thought about psychology according to the Quran and Sunnah, conducted with a scientific approach. As a growing science, basically, Islamic psychology is projected as the reference in understanding the human psyche (soul) and responding to the debates on it. When a study of psychology is conducted and applied according to the Islamic perspective, this can emphasize the qualities of people.
