Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

General Information
The submitted manuscript for publication in the Asian Journal of Islamic Psychology should be original research work with high academic merit. The article should not have been published previously, should not be considered for publication by another publisher elsewhere, and should be free from plagiarism. All submissions will be undergone a similarity check using Turnitin. The manuscript that does not meet those requirements will be automatically rejected.

Please prepare your manuscript following the journal template prior to the submission.

Submission criteria
Manuscript submitted for publication in Asian Journal of Islamic Psychology should be appropriate with the following criteria:

  • Written in good English.
  • Suitable to the scope of the journal.
  • Original article that has not been published elsewhere, and will not be submitted to any journal during the review process.
  • Well-formatted following the journal template and style.

Preparing manuscript file
Asian Journal of Islamic Psychology accepts manuscripts of both Research and Review articles. The article should be between 4000 and 9000 words long. The manuscript must be prepared using word processing software, e.g., Microsoft Word, Open Office, Libre Office, with the document format doc or docx.

Manuscript Structure

Title
Please ensure that the title of your manuscript is both concise and informative while also being presented in bold with the initial word capitalized. Please limit it to 20 words.

Author names and affiliation
Ensure that the authors' names clearly distinguish between their given names and family names. Below the authors' names, include their affiliations, specifying the department, university, and country. Assign a number in superscript after each author's name and mark the email address of the corresponding author with an asterisk superscript.

Abstract
The paragraph should succinctly cover the background, objectives, methodology, results, and implications of the research in clear and formal English, without exceeding 200 words and avoiding abbreviations or citations.

Keywords
After the abstract, it is essential to include a keyword that concisely encapsulates the entirety of the article within a range of three to six words. This keyword serves as a crucial tool for indexing the content.

The main manuscript's contents
The main body of the manuscript should contain:

  • Introduction: This section presents a comprehensive overview of the study's background, addressing emerging issues, research objectives, and anticipated benefits. It incorporates a thorough literature review encompassing recent studies, research gaps, proposed contributions, and study objectives. The introduction culminates with the formulation of research hypotheses or questions. To substantiate these aspects, a minimum of 10 references from scholarly journals published within the last decade are cited, ensuring the incorporation of current and relevant research findings.
  • Method: For empirically-conducted study, this section should give detail description about the used method in this study (design, participants, procedures, measurements, data analysis). For review-type article, each parts of this sections could be adjustable (for example: design, data collection). 
  • Results: This section should describe the findings of the study. The description of the analysis results may contain tables or figures that represent the data. The tables or figures should be explained clearly to make the audience understand comprehensively. The subheadings could be added if needed.
  • Discussion: The section should explain the analysis results, associated with the results of previous studies, critically analyzed and linked to the relevant literatures. The author should also highlight the contribution of this study to the development of psychology science. The discussion should also be ended by pointing the limitations of the study. The subheadings could be added if needed.
  • Conclusion: The section should answer the research objectives instead of summarizing the research findings. Conclusion should be brief, clear, and concise, based on the findings and discussion. This part should also give recommendations for further studies. 

Acknowledgement
Acknowledgement should be provided in a separate section at the end of the manuscript before the references. It also should contain the list of those individuals or institution that provide help or funding for the research.

Ethics Statement
State the ethical approval in this study.

Authors Contribution
Describe the contribution of each author.

Conflict of Interest
There should be no conflict of interest in this study.

References
Ensure that every reference cited within the article is appropriately listed in the reference section, adhering the American Psychological Association (APA) Referencing Style (7th Edition). It is advisable to prioritize references from the last decade, ensuring the incorporation of recent and relevant literature.
