Dear Authors,

We would like to inform you that Jurnal Pendidikan Ilmu Sosial (JPIS) UMS has never collaborated with certain partners/agencies for the article publication process at JPIS, both on a fast track and on a regular basis, which promises that the manuscript will definitely be published.

We invite and provide an open opportunity for authors to submit their best social science education articles for the June 2026 issue. We prioritize articles in English and please follow the writing templates in our journal.

Current Issue

Vol. 35 No. 2 (2025): JURNAL PENDIDIKAN ILMU SOSIAL

Vol. 35 No. 2 (2025) features a collection of scholarly articles addressing contemporary issues and innovations in education, learning technologies, and student development within diverse global contexts. This edition brings together contributions from authors based in the United States of America, Australia, Pakistan, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Malaysia, Philippines, and Indonesia, offering rich international perspectives that enhance academic discourse. The articles explore the development of digital teaching materials and augmented reality–based learning media, the strengthening of cultural and civic literacy, student motivation and work readiness, as well as digital communication and learning participation. In addition, this issue examines the effectiveness of instructional models, the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) of prospective economics teachers, innovative pedagogies for enhancing human skills, and inclusive education policies for marginalized learners. Overall, this issue is expected to serve as a valuable reference for academics, educators, and policymakers in advancing innovative, inclusive, and future-oriented education.

Jurnal Pendidikan Ilmu Sosial publishes scientific articles as a result of research and studies of literature in the field of social science education. Published twice a year in June and December. Managed by Department of Accounting Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta in collaboration with Asosiasi Profesi Pendidik Ekonomi Indonesia (ASPROPENDO). Editor ensures that the review and publication process is managed professionally and based on objectivity through a double-blind review system.
Jurnal Pendidikan Ilmu Sosial scope focuses on the publications of articles on the topics of Social Sciences Learning (Citizenship, Economics, Accounting, Geography, Sociology, Anthropology), Social Science Learning Innovation, Social Science Learning Evaluation or Learning Assessment. Before submission, the author(s) must adhere to the author guidelines.
