Article Processing Charge (APC)

Forum Geografi is free open access (OA) international journal for promoting accessibility and using throughout the world, serving the professional and scientific community, as well as the wider community. Because there are no fees charged for access, Forum Geografi offsets the cost of publication (including the costs of peer review management, journal production, online hosting, and long-term archiving) by charging article processing charges (APC) to authors, institutions, or funders for each published article

Article Submission Charge (ASC)

Article Submission: 0.00 (USD/IDR)

Authors are not required to pay an Article Submission Fee as part of the submission process to contribute to review costs.

Article Processing Charge (APC)

Article Publication: 7,500,000.00 (IDR) or 450 (USD, for international authors)

If this paper is accepted for publication, you will be asked to pay an Article Publication Fee to cover publication costs. An additional IDR 1,000,000 or USD 100 will be required for proofreading services for a non-English native speaker.

The journal charges an article publication fee to support the wide-open access dissemination of research results, the management of costs associated with handling and editing submitted manuscripts, and the Journal's general management and publication. The authors or the author's institution is requested to pay a publication fee for each article accepted. If the manuscript is not accepted, the author does not pay any fee and may send the manuscript to any other journals.

APC Waiver Policy 

The journal may waive the article processing charge (APC) for submissions under the following conditions:

1. The manuscript includes authors from at least three different countries (50% waiver).

2. The main (corresponding) author has a Scopus h-index > 15 (50% waiver); the main author has a Scopus h-index > 30 (100% waiver).

3. The manuscript includes authors from low-income countries (50% waiver).

4. The author is a member of the Editorial Board and submits a paper as the main or corresponding author (50% waiver).

5. The author has served as a reviewer for the journal and submits a paper as the main or corresponding author (waiver equivalent to USD 50 per completed review, which must be supported by reviewer certificates).

6. Other waiver requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

The above discounts cannot be combined; only one waiver type can be applied per manuscript. Authors should request an APC waiver at the time of submission by indicating their eligibility in the “Comments for the Editor” section.
