Peer Review Process
The Informatics Education and Learning Technologies journal follows a double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality and integrity of the research published. This process is designed to uphold the academic standards of the journal and provide valuable feedback to authors.
- Initial Submission and Screening: Upon submission, manuscripts are first reviewed by the editorial team for alignment with the journal's scope, adherence to submission guidelines, and quality of presentation. Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be returned to the authors without further review.
- Double-Blind Review: Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to at least two independent reviewers with expertise in the relevant field. Both the authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout this process to maintain objectivity and fairness.
- Review and Feedback: Reviewers assess the manuscript based on criteria such as originality, methodological rigor, clarity of presentation, and relevance to the field. Reviewers provide constructive feedback, suggesting revisions to improve the manuscript where necessary.
- Editorial Decision: Based on the reviewers' feedback, the editorial team makes one of the following decisions: acceptance, minor revision, major revision, or rejection. Authors are then informed of the decision along with any required revisions.
- Revisions and Final Decision: Authors are expected to address all reviewer comments in a timely manner. Revised manuscripts may undergo additional review to ensure that all issues have been addressed satisfactorily. The final decision is then communicated to the authors.
