Focus and Scope

Biomedika is one of the peer-reviewed academic journals published by the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta. The journal focuses on publishing original and high-quality research that contributes to the advancement of medical sciences across three core domains.

Basic Medical Science - The journal covers foundational disciplines including anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, microbiology, pharmacology, pathology, and related fields that form the scientific basis for understanding human health and disease mechanisms.

Clinical Medical Science - The journal publishes research addressing the diagnosis, treatment, and clinical management of diseases across various medical specialties, with the aim of enhancing clinical practice and improving patient outcomes.

Community Medicine and Public Health - The journal accommodates studies in epidemiology, health promotion, preventive medicine, environmental health, and health policy, reflecting a commitment to addressing population-level health issues and broader societal health challenges.

Biomedika welcomes submissions in the form of original research articles, review articles, and case reports from researchers, clinicians, and public health professionals, both nationally and internationally.
