Strengthening the Tolerant Character through Deep Learning Approach in Pancasila Education at Surakarta Vocational High School

Abstract

This study aims to analyze how the implementation of the deep learning model in Pancasila education at vocational high schools strengthens students’ character in terms of tolerance. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects consisted of teachers and students at a vocational high school in Surakarta who were selected through sampling The findings. indicate that integrating tolerance education into Pancasila education provides students with a holistic understanding and enables the successful application of deep learning to strengthen student character in vocational high schools. Despite differences in students’ backgrounds and levels of self-confidence, these conditions actually present opportunities to further strengthen the values of tolerance. Teaching Pancasila using a deep learning approach has had a positive impact on students’ understanding and attitudes. This approach has resulted in high levels of participation during learning activities.
