Vol. 6 No. 1 (2025)

We are pleased to present Volume 6, Number 1 (2025) of our journal, which features five original articles exploring diverse yet interrelated dimensions of society, culture, education, and psychology in contemporary and historical contexts.

This issue opens with “Fishermen and Consumptive Behavior: An Ethnographic Study of the Muncar Banyuwangi District Community” by Fauzi et al., which presents an immersive exploration of consumerist patterns in a coastal fishing village through the lens of Baudrillard’s theory. The second article, “Child Education in the Qur’anic Perspective” by Alfani et al., offers an insightful Tafsir Tarbawi analysis, drawing valuable pedagogical implications for modern character education rooted in spiritual values.

Yuwono’s work, “The Life of Tondo Kingdom in 9th Century,” unearths critical historical insights from the Binatbát na Tansô ng Laguna inscription, highlighting precolonial Southeast Asian sociopolitical networks. Meanwhile, Aldi and Khairanis present “History and Culture of Minangkabau in Educational Perspective,” a compelling argument for integrating indigenous cultural values into today’s character education curricula.

Finally, “Understanding Extraversion in Indonesian Adolescents” by Rafiqoh et al. examines adolescent personality traits in the school context, offering practical contributions for education and mental health professionals.

We invite scholars and practitioners to engage with the ideas presented here and to consider submitting their own work for future issues. As we continue to build a space for interdisciplinary dialogue, your research contributions are essential in advancing meaningful academic discourse.
