Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The manuscript is written in English and follows the rules of academic writing and standard grammar. The proofreading certificate may be required based on the language editor's evaluation.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • All figures are in high resolution and informative.
  • The manuscript is free from any plagiarised content.
  • The bibliography is written in APA style, 7th edition. The DOI/URL of all references (if any) must be included.
  • The authors are committed to following the peer review process and agree to revise their manuscript (if required) within a maximum of one month. Failure to do so may result in rejection by the editor
  • The author(s) agree to pay the APC fees. The application for a publication fee waiver (according to the requirement) should be submitted simultaneously with the manuscript submission by filling in the comments.

Author Guidelines

AUTHORSHIP

The author listed in an article published in Jurnal Penelitian Ilmu-Ilmu Sosial should have made a significant contribution to the work reported. This could be in terms of research conception or design, or acquisition of data, or the analysis and interpretation of data. As an author or co-author, you share responsibility and accountability for the content of your article. Please avoid being a gift (guest) authorship where someone is added to the list of authors who have not been involved in writing the paper or ghost authorship where someone has been involved in writing the paper but is not included in the list of authors.

MANUSCRIPT REQUIREMENTS

1. The manuscript mus be original, unpublished, and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere.

2. The manuscript is based on the results of research in the a broad range of topics in Jurnal Penelitian Ilmu-Ilmu Sosial

3. The manuscript is written in English and follows the rules of academic writing and standard grammar.

3. The total words length of fulltext is typically between 6000-8000 words (excluding abstract and bibliography). Space 1.5. Ebrima font (download Journal Template). Articles are submitted through our online submissions system.

4. Articles are written systematically as follows:

  • Title: The title should describe the contents of the manuscripts, with the maximum of 15 words.
  • Author's identity: The author's name without title, institution of origin, email address.
  • Abstract: The abstract should provide clear and accurate information, and contain background or gap analysis, objectives, methods, results or findings, and the conclusion/implications of the research. Keywords consisting of 3-5 words should accompany the abstract.
  • Introduction: The introduction section should include the background, problems, previous relevant research, research gaps, and research objectives (benefits).
  • Method: The method section must contain: research design, data and data source (population and sample, instrument development, instrument development process), pilot study, data collection, data validation and data analysis.
  • Results: The results presents the findings of the research in the form of tables, charts, diagrams, or narratives were then given meaning or description of any research results are presented.
  • Discussion: The discussion section must contain new findings, comparisons with previous research findings (state of the art), as well as logical reasons for the differences or similarities in these findings.
  • Conclusion: The conclusion section should include a brief answer to the problem formulation, research limitations, and recommendations for further research.
  • Acknowledgement: Include an acknowledgement if parties have made a significant contribution in funding and/or provided support to the research.Author's contributions: All authors contributed substantially to the conception and design of the study, data collection, analysis, and interpretation of results. All authors were involved in drafting and critically revising the manuscript, and approved the final version for publication.
  • Conflict of interest: The authors declare that there is no conflict of interest regarding the publication of this paper.
  • Data availability: The data that support the findings of this study are available from the corresponding author upon reasonable request.
  • Funding info: The authors explicitly declare that this research [did/did not] receive any external funding. If funded, this research was supported by [Name of Funding Agency] under Grant No. [XXXX].
  • Bibliography: The bibliography contains at least 30 references, with most of them (80%) from research journals. It is highly recommended to use the latest publication. In addition, references from textbooks should be minimised. The bibliography is written in APA style, 7th edition. The authors should also utilise reference management software, such as Mendeley, to organise the bibliography. The DOI of all references (if any) must be included.

5. Pictures, graphs, and tables are presented with the following conditions:

  • The size of pictures, graphs and tables according to paper size
  • Image and graphic titles are written in the bottom center and are numbered sequentially
  • The table title is in the top center and is numbered sequentially, the table format is mandatory according to the template

6. Author(s) are required to attach the manuscript's similarity test with Turnitin (in PDF form) which are uploaded in the "Supplementary File". The percentage of similarity shall be no more than 25%.

7. The initial and final decision for the submission will be notified by e-mail.
