Author Guidelines

The editor of Jurnal Berita Ilmu Keperawatan welcomes article submissions in accordance with the following guidelines:

Articles have not been published or accepted for publication or are being considered for publication elsewhere. In addition to the manuscript, a written statement should be attached which clarifies that the article is original and does not contain any elements of plagiarism.

Jurnal Berita Ilmu Keperawatan  publishes original research in two formats: Article and Review. In most cases, we do not impose strict limits on word count or page number. However, we strongly recommend that you write concisely and stick to the guidelines:

Articles should ideally be no more than 15 typeset pages

The main text should be no more than 5,000 words.

The title should be no more than 20 words

The abstract should be no more than 200 words

Abstract

Please do not include any references in your Abstract. Make sure it serves both as a general introduction to the topic and as a brief, non-technical summary of the main results and their implications.

Ensure not to change the style in the template provided, including font type and size, spacing, indent spacing, Etc. If foreign terms still need to be standardized, write them in italics—abstract writing with a maximum of 250 words in Indonesian. The abstract contains an introduction (1-2 sentences), research objectives (1 sentence), materials and methods (3-5 sentences), research results (3-5 sentences), and conclusion (1 sentence) made in 1 (one) paragraph.

Keywords: Minimum three words, maximum five words (capital letters only appear on the first keyword, separated by commas and do not end with a period on the last keyword)

Manuscript

Your manuscript text file should start with a title page that shows author affiliations and contact information, identifying the corresponding author with an asterisk. We recommend that each section includes an introduction of referenced text that expands on the background of the work. Some overlap with the Abstract is acceptable.

For the main body of the text, there are no specific requirements. You can organise it in a way that best suits your research. However, the following structure will be suitable in many cases:

Introduction

The introduction contains an explanation of the research background, core problems and research objectives. Research problems are described using the inverted pyramid method, starting from the global, national and local levels. Include references (relevant literature or research results) by using the name of the source in each sentence before a period (.) which is adjusted to the Bibliography, for example: ".... Dewi's research (2011) also mentions that the development of information technology-based electronic nursing documentation can provide benefits, including shorter documentation time, ease of reading data, and accessing documents as well as a learning tool. The data obtained will also make it easier for nurses to provide education about types of care for palliative patients (Mamnuah & Trihidayati, 2022). The research from Mohammadi Firouzeh et al. (2017) mentioned...". The final part of the introduction should state the research objectives.

Methods

This section explains the type of research, location and time of research, population and sample, sampling techniques, data collection techniques, data analysis, and data presentation. Research that uses tools and materials requires writing down the specifications of the tools and materials used. Qualitative research, such as case studies, phenomenology, ethnography, Etc., needs to add a description of checking the validity of research results.

Results (with subheadings)

It contains a presentation of the analysis results related to the research questions. Research results are presented in the form of narratives, tables and pictures, and statistical test results with explanations without discussion. The table title is above it, while the image title is below it. This section describes the characteristics of the research subjects, univariate, bivariate and multivariate analysis (if any).

Tables and figures are equipped with serial numbers in the order they appear in the text using Arabic numerals. The table title is written at the top of the table, while the image title is written at the bottom of the image using font 10, Bold, one space. The table is presented without vertical lines/column lines. The table's contents should be typed in font 10, spaced 1.

Discussion (without subheadings)

The discussion contains the meaning of the results and comparisons with theories and similar research results. The discussion contains the meaning of the results and comparisons with theories and similar research results.
The discussion contains a brief statement of the important parts of the research results, supporting arguments, discussion of other relevant research results and the contribution of the findings to the enrichment and development of science and technology for society. YOU NEED TO ALLOWED to use the same sentences as those listed in the results section, and you NEED TO ALLOWED to re-write the tables and graphs of the analysis results. However, the results can be grouped for interpretation and discussion based on theory and previous research results.

Figure legends

Please begin your figure legends with a brief title sentence for the whole figure and continue with a short description of what is shown in each panel. Use any symbols in sequence and minimise the methodological details as much as possible. Keep each legend total to no more than 350 words. Provide text for figure legends in numerical order after the references.

Tables
