Announcement of the New JPIIS Article Template

The Editorial Board of the Jurnal Penelitian Ilmu-Ilmu Sosial (JPIIS) is pleased to announce the implementation of a new and enhanced article template, effective for all future submissions. This updated template has been developed to improve the clarity, consistency, and academic rigor of manuscripts submitted to the journal.

Unlike the previous version, the new template is more comprehensive, integrating not only detailed formatting requirements but also explicit, section-by-section guidance aligned with the IMRaD structure (Introduction, Method, Results, and Discussion). Each section is accompanied by operational instructions designed to support authors in presenting their work in accordance with established standards of academic writing in scholarly journals.

The Introduction section now emphasizes the articulation of research gaps, theoretical grounding, and the formulation of clear research objectives. The Method section provides structured guidance on research design, data collection, and analytical procedures, including specific considerations for various methodological approaches. The Results and Discussion sections are distinguished more explicitly, encouraging authors to present findings systematically and engage in critical interpretation supported by relevant literature.

This initiative reflects JPIIS’s commitment to enhancing manuscript quality, reducing ambiguity in the review process, and supporting authors—particularly early-career researchers—in producing publishable scholarly work. Authors are strongly encouraged to carefully follow the new template prior to submission, as adherence will be considered during the initial editorial screening.
