Background: Gingival enlargement is a condition of abnormal gingival growth due to hyperplasia or hypertrophy of the gingiva, this condition facilitates plaque buildup, if treatment is delayed it will increase the risk of more severe periodontal disease. Purpose: This case report discusses the management of gingivectomy in the case of Gingival Enlargement. Case Report: A 22-year-old woman came to RSGM Soelastri with complaints of enlarged gums. Intraoral examination of gingival enlargement in teeth 13, 12, 11, 21, 22, 23 and obtained an OHI score of 1.9, gingival index 0.77, plaque index score 35.31, and pocket depths between 4 - 7 mm (distal, midfacial, and mesial) in teeth 13, 12, 11, 21, 22, 23. CaseManagement: Management in this case is gingivectomy to eliminate gingival enlargement accompanied by providing education to the patient to maintain dental and oral health. Conclusion: Gingivectomy management in this case was successful, characterized by a sharp gingival margin, no edema or bleeding, no gingival pockets were found. This case requires regular check-ups every 3-6 months with a dentist, as early detection and to prevent the severity of this case which tends to recur even though the progression is slow.
