About the Journal

Ishraqi: Journal of Interdisciplinary Islamic Studies is a peer-reviewed academic journal that explores Islam in relation to contemporary global challenges through interdisciplinary lenses. It publishes original studies that connect Islamic teachings —drawing from core Islamic texts and traditions — with developments in social sciences, digital culture, economics, gender studies, education, and environmental issues. The journal is committed to promoting integrative scholarship that bridges classical Islamic knowledge and modern scientific perspectives, both in the Indonesian context and beyond. This journal also bridges the dichotomy and gap between religious knowledge and science. All papers in this journal are written in English and Arabic.

Published two times a year (June and December) by the Faculty of Islamic Studies, Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta.
