Bibliometric Analysis of the Map of the Development and Direction of Islamic (Qur'anic) Research Temporery Reading in the Scoupus Database (1990-2023)

Abstract

This study aims to determine the mapping of the development and direction of islamic (qur`anic) temporery reading research on publications indexed by Scopus. This study used bibliometric analysis techniques to explore all publication indexed in Scopus' database of islamic (qur`an) temporery reading from 1990 to 2023. The data obtained were analyzed using Excel and R/R-Studio. VOSviewer is used to generate visual analysis of the simultaneous occurrence of keywords and document citations. The author found 228 publications that fit the function, subject, and criteria set. The results of this study show an annual growth rate of 800 %, with the most publications on the islamic (qur`anic) temporery reading in 2021. United State is the country that contributes the most publications wich 56 documents with affiliations from the University of Texas. Pirim, S B became the most prolific writers on the theme of the islamic (qur`an) temporery reading  who had the same number of publications. The bibliometric analysis performed was limited to Scopus databases without taking other national and international databases into account. This study presents a brief overview of the literature accessible to researchers working in the field of islamic (qur`anic) temporery reading and provides recommendations for future research
