Abstract

This research article examines how the management of the Assalaam Islamic boarding school cooperative (koppontren) in productive economic development. As we all know that the progress of a cooperative institution cannot be separated from good management. The existence of the Assalam Islamic Boarding School cooperative as a productive economic development unit has a very vital role in developing the internal economy of the Islamic boarding school which has an impact on the progress of the Islamic boarding school. This is because there are regulations in careful planning, good organization, proper direction, and efficient control carried out to achieve the goals of the cooperative. The purpose of this study is to find out how the management system that has been applied by Koppontren Assalaam in the development of productive economy. This research is based on qualitative descriptive field research. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that: First, in the development of productive economic enterprises, Koppontren Assalaam requires market strategy and segmentation, financing processes and implementation, and human resources. Second, the management strategy of Koppontren Assalaam in the development of a productive economy, namely: 1. There is a clear formulation of functions and tasks from the tools of the Modern Islamic Islamic Boarding School Cooperative Assalaam Surakarta 2. The formation of a pattern of relations between cooperatives of the Modern Islamic Boarding School Assalaam Surakarta to facilitate information and communication quickly and precisely.3. Forming a pilot business pattern as a foothold for increasing innovation and creativity. 4. The existence of a dynamic and participatory monitoring and evaluation system.
