Plagiarism Policy
"PLAGIARISM" can take two forms: 1) the author knowingly copies another's work and claims it as their own, or 2) the author copies his previously published material either in whole or in part, without providing appropriate references - also referred to as " self-plagiarism" or "duplicate publication".
Plagiarism before publication
The Abdi Psikonomi Journal will assess each plagiarism case on its own merits. If plagiarism is detected, either by the editors, peer reviewers or editorial staff at any stage prior to the publication of the manuscript - before or after acceptance, during editing or at the proofing stage of the page, we will notify the author, ask him or her to rewrite the text or quote the text accurately and citing the original source. If the plagiarism is extensive - that is, if at least 20% of the submissions are original/same - the article may be rejected and the author's institution/company will be notified.
When is Plagiarism Checked?
Every manuscript that is submitted to the Abdi Psikonomi Journal will be checked for plagiarism after being submitted to Abdi Psikonomi. Plagiarism checking is done with Turnitin Software and then sent to the editor for editorial review.
How is plagiarism checking done?
The Abdi Psikonomi Journal uses Turnitin Software to detect the presence of the same and similar text in the submitted manuscript. Turnitin is a browser-based web service that verifies the authenticity of documents.
Plagiarism
Manuscripts may not be freely accessible by article indexing services due to restrictions by programmers, journals, or publishers; or available on journal sites but not indexed by article indexing services. In such cases when a plagiarism check is carried out, the content of the checked manuscript cannot be compared with the original manuscript because restrictions and plagiarism will not be detected.
