Cryptocurrency, Blockchain Risks, POJK, Legal Protection ModelAbstract
This study examines how the Financial Services Authority Regulation (POJK) Number 27 of 2024 provides protection to cryptocurrency investors. This research focuses on how the regulations address blockchain risks such as cybersecurity threats, custodial issues, as well as rules that do not provide investors with a sense of security. This study uses a normative approach by analyzing blockchain regulations, as well as the methods used, such as interpretation and synthesis, to guide the analysis. The findings show that POJK Number 27 of 2024 provides a comprehensive legal framework for protection across governance, risk management, compliance, and law enforcement. The regulation provides legal protection in a juridical, preventive, and repressive manner. This research shows that protecting investors requires more than just the rule of law. Because blockchain risks are complex and cross-border, practical measures are needed, including stronger institutions and international cooperation. A major contribution from the study is the Integrative Legal Protection Model for the Blockchain Ecosystem, which integrates various legal protections to better protect cryptocurrency investors. This model emphasizes practical legal protections in addition to existing legal norms to address the challenges of blockchain technology.
