Perbandingan Efektivitas Pemberian Kinesio Tape Lutut Terhadap Knee Valgus pada Gerak Cutting Atlet Basket Tingkat SMA di Kota Malang

Latar Belakang: Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) bertugas sebagai stabilisator persendian lutut, penyebab terbesar cedera ACL disebabkan oleh COD dan cutting manuver karena adanya perubahan kecepatan dan arah yang mendadak saat melakukanya. Selama cutting, wanita menunjukan penurunan sudut fleksi hip, sudut knee valgus lebih besar daripada dengan pria. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa wanita lebih beresiko cedera ACL dibandingkan pria. Kinesio tape memiliki fungsi lain disamping stabilisasi otot dan sendi, yaitu untuk mengurangi nyeri. Tetapi pada saat ini banyak ditemui penggunaan taping pada atlet yang tidak mengalami cedera sehingga hanya menimbulkan efek placebo saja.
Tujuan: mengetahui perbandingan efektivitas kinesio tape terhadap knee valgus pada gerak cutting atlet basket tingkat SMA.
Metode Penelitian: Desain penelitian Quasi-Eksperimental menggunakan purposive sampling dengan populasi atlet basket tingkat SMA di Kota Malang. Parameter yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini Frontal Plane Projection Angle (FPPA) dengan pengukuran 2D menggunakan aplikasi Kinovea untuk menilai derajat knee valgus. Sampel yang diambil sebanyak 22 responden. Uji Analisa data menggunakan uji independent T-test.
Hasil: berdasarkan uji independent T-test hasil perbandingan derajat knee valgus pada gerak cutting atlet mendapatkan nilai signifikan (2-tailed) > 0,05 pada setiap kelompok. Kesimpulan: tidak ada pengaruh kinesio tape terhadap knee valgus atlet saat melakukan cutting manuver atlet.
